Oscar Hair: Cate Blanchett – Modern Bob

Cate’s cut was simply amazing. This was definitely a modern bob – simple and not too beveled. This is the future of shorter hair and is ahead of the fashion curve. It works for our Miss. Cate as it ends above her jaw line, highlighting those amazing cheekbones.

1. Most hair types can wear this. Thicker hair needs a flat iron to ensure it does not look overly bouffant.

2. We love that she just did a perfect blowout and left it at that. A blowout with a large round natural bristle brush and Instantly Thick™ Hair Thickening Cream is all this look needs. Maintain some body during the blowout to keep some movement.

3. If your hair tends to be flat, add some Velcro rollers for added lift at the roots.

4. Part your hair at the side for a flirty look. Once finished, add a touch of Marc Anthony`s Moisture Gloss™ Daily Drops for a bit of polish.

Oscar Hair: Michelle Williams – Modern Pixie

This is the quintessential modern pixie cut, which never goes off trend. With this face anything works but this is a wonderful way to frame her face. If you wear your hair short making it too fussy can make you look older. Michelle kept it simple which is the best way to wear shorter hair and her side swept fringe really worked.

1. This cut works with fine to medium thick hair and less curl will make it easier to style.

2. A paddle brush is a simple tool that is easy to control as you do not want a lot of volume except for the crown area.

3. After blowing hair out with the paddle brush, add some Moisture Gloss Diamond Shine Finishing Glosser to control the sides keeping them smooth and tight to the head.
