Go From Tight Curls to Loose Waves

We know you love your curls, they define you. Some days however, it’s nice to change it up a bit.

Here’s how …

1. Prep: Wash hair with Style Straight Unwind Shampoo and Frizz Away Conditioner to prepare it for a smooth blowout. Then add Instant Straightening Cream to damp hair from roots to ends.

2. Dry: Add a comb attachment to end of your dryer. While drying stay tight to scalp as you want smooth and sleek without too much volume. Once your hair is dry run through a bit of Moisture Gloss Daily Drop to ensure your waves will be frizz free.

3. Curl: For this look we love using a large barrel curling iron (2” works perfectly). Spray each section with a bit of Flat Iron Spray to help set and protect your hair. Starting at the bottom, wrap your hair around the iron without opening it. Curl until you are just above the ears. Do not curl all the way to the scalp. This will leave top smoother with less body.

To get waves that are natural in finish change up size of sections as well as the direction of the curl. Curl the iron left to right for one section, right to left for the next section, and so on. Do not comb out since you want the wave to set.

4. Finishing touches: Curl the bits of hair around your hairline back and away from your face so they don’t fall into your face. If you have bangs curl it loosely so there is a slight bend – this keeps the entire look soft.
Once all sections are finished, if you feel there is still too much volume at the top take a flat iron and smooth out the hair about 2/3” from crown.

5. All day set: Apply Moisture Gloss Daily Drops to your fingertips and gently tousle your waves. Give it a quick spray with Pro Finish Ultimate Hold Hairspray so that it lasts all day.
